Summer Weddings are awesome and beautiful but they can present a few challenges, especially here in the south. Souring temperatures make for a messy sweaty day once mid day hits, I’m always on the look out for someplace cool and interesting to get my couples out of the heat and cool them off for a bit.
Ben and Christine were married in the Wake County Justice Center on a balmy Monday in July
After just about 15 minutes in Nash Park, which is located directly across from the court building, the Bride and Groom were ready to get out of the heat. Nash park is beautiful this time of year but once temperatures hit 90 degrees even the shaded park is too hot for a wedding couple looking to keep cool.
Once we arrived at Union Station the couple could cool off and enjoy some time for wedding portraits. Have a look at a few favorites of theirs.
Ben and Christine were joined by their parents and a few close friends for tis beautiful and intimate celebration declaring there love and devotion for each other. Weddings don’t have to cost 10’s of thousands of dollars, you just need to know what’s important to you. I’m glad that photos were a top priority for them and that I was able to capture their special day.
On the technical side, I’m shooting my Sony a7iii along with the Sony G Master 24-70 f2.8 & 70-200 f2.8. ISO varies.
Normally I’d have shot the 85mm 1.4 but this was a serious run and gun kind of a day, so no time for the 85mm. All light is natural. The sony is masterful at puling in natural light and presenting the most beautiful subtle shadows on facial features.
